We're Hiring!

Hi there, folks!

We have a lot of fun projects in the queue and to make it happen, we are hiring TWO positions here at Buffalove.

Administrative Assistant : We need this person to help with day to day items - taking calls, ushering leads, running errands, bill scan to the bookkeeper, helping to order materials (hello cute lighting!) and assist with the coordination of vendors / contractors / project needs. This person can be a contract basis or employee. The job is flexible but ideally 20 hours / week. Some of it can be done remote but not all. This would be great for people looking to get into real estate! You can read more about the job posting here.

Maintenance: We are looking for a Jack or Jill of all trades to join our team! Mainly a problem solver who can fix things as they come up in our old buildings. It requires a lot of experience - we are not in a position to be able to do training - you’d have to hit the ground running. This includes: paint, patching drywall, solving weird problems like “why is this roof leaking?” and / or “Why is this toilet not flushing"?”. There is a lot of curiosity needed for sure! Kitchen Renovation Fun: Painting Cabinets!

We painted the kitchen cabinets with white semi gloss paint and added new shelves and black handles to give it an updated look. This wasn’t a huge overhaul but it didn’t need it - we wanted to do something that was cute, affordable and fun to do! Repurposing the cabinets allows us to save thousands of dollars which helps us keep the rents lower than market - a win win for everyone!

Late Night Zoom Chats with IncDev

Monte and I have been doing “office hours” with our Tuscon and NH / Maine bootcamp cohorts for the Incremental Development Alliance (IncDev). It has been fun to talk shop about ideas, mission statements, projects, layouts, funding, capital structures, etc… with these folks. They’re trying to get started to invest in their communities! We can’t wait to watch them grow. <3

Gracens Last Day at IncDev

I donate a lot of time and energy to the Incremental Development Alliance - a non profit that teaches real estate to regular people in an effort to build communities and wealth for people instead of larger developers and corporations. This is a snap from Gracens last day! She is a founder of IncDev and helps to create and design the bootcamps and teaching events we have! She is stellar human. Passionate, dedicated and creative. I cried multiple times knowing she was leaving… but she will be working to do this on a bigger level of which I am SO happy for her.

Gracen, we will miss you at our IncDev Bootcamps and other events!! We wish you all the luck and love in the world
